Blue Bonnet Campground in Texas Hill Country

Springtime Events in the Texas Hill Country

Springtime sure is beautiful in the Texas Hill Country, and with the beautiful weather comes a variety of events and festivals for vacationers and locals to enjoy. Whether you love live music or are a foodie at heart, you’ll find something you’ll love in Texas during the spring months. Here are just some events we're excited for this Spring:

1. Crawfish Festival of New Braunfels

Held from April 27-28 at the Comal County Fairgrounds, the crawfish festival is a New Braunfels tradition. The city’s mayor has even declared the festival days as official crawfish days! Along with all the juicy crawfish you can eat, you can dance to the tunes of local acts Will Hoge, Dr. Zog, Highway Hypnosis, and more.

2. Martian Arts Festival

For an event that’s out of this world, literally, look no further than the Martian Arts Festival. 2019 is the third year for the three-day camping, music, and arts experience, held at High Road Rocky Ranch in San Marcos. The event features a designated art gallery with work from Texas-based and international artists, and it culminates with a silent disco. What’s more, the event is 100 percent solar powered. Check it out April 26-28.

3. Texas EggFest 2019

There’s a lot to love at the 18th annual Texas EggFest. Whether you’re a proud “egghead” or a festival newbie, you’ll find plenty to do. The April 27 festival offers egg tasting, cooking demonstrations, live music, and craft beer from local breweries. Tickets start at $15.

4. Concerts at Whitewater Amphitheater

If you’re unsure when you’ll make it to Texas Hill Country this spring, you won’t miss out on exciting events at Whitewater Amphitheater. Less than two miles from our front door, Whitewater has one of the most scenic music venues in the state and features big names in music, from Willie Nelson to the Avett Brothers and Dwight Yoakam.

5. Canyon Lake Dam Festival and 5K

On March 30, Hidden Valley Sports Park plays host to the inaugural Canyon Lake Dam Festival and 5K. You can sign up to run the mid-level 5K or just wander the festival grounds on the edge of Canyon Lake, where you’ll find plenty of food, drinks, and fun.
